Local Company’s Soft Touch

Carpenter UK’s Oldham factory has donated £3,000 worth of bedding to two local hospices.

Toppers and pillows from the company’s ‘sleep better’ product range were presented to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice at Turf Road, Royton and Springhill Hospice on Broad Lane, Rochdale.

“Both

hospices are a special part of the local community and are heavily reliant on donations and

fundraising from the community”, said Neil Uttley of Carpenter. “As part of that community we are delighted to have been able

to support the tremendous contribution they both make.”

One of the world’s largest producers of foam products, Carpenter has four UK plants, including Bee Mill in Oldham. As well as supplying block foam to the furniture, furnishings and automotive

industries, Carpenter UK has a consumer division that produces a wide range of foam-based bedding, mattresses, children’s furniture and pet beds. It supplies a large number of the UK’s best known retailers with own label goods as well as its own ‘sleep better’ products.

The company presented six memory foam toppers and eight memory foam pillows to Sister Kay O’Neil at Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. Sister Ann Grey accepted 12 memory foam toppers and 12 memory foam pillows on behalf of Springhill Hospice.
